Cabo’s waters hold striped marlin year-round, plus dorado, tuna and wahoo in season. Here is how to plan your first charter.
Why Cabo?
Two seas meet at Land’s End, stacking bait and big pelagics within a short run of the marina. Striped marlin bite all year; October’s Bisbee’s Black & Blue tournament turns the town into the world’s richest fishing contest.
Booking a charter
Boats leave from the Cabo San Lucas Marina — two blocks from your studio. Half-day trips (6–10 AM) suit families and first-timers; serious anglers book full days to reach the banks. Licenses, bait and gear are typically included; confirm before you book.
Trip & Homes can arrange trusted captains — message us with your dates.
What happens to the catch
Billfish are released. Dorado and tuna come home with you — many downtown restaurants will cook your catch three ways the same evening, which might be the single best dinner in Cabo.
